The charming period exterior was preserved while the interior was modernised and opened out for light and convenience. The new kitchen is the heart of the ground floor. Insulation, double glazing, gas hydronic heating, plus carpet in the lounge room, stairs and upper floor, ensure quiet and comforting warmth. Elsewhere timber floors glow. Original timberwork and sandstone walls mingle easily with the revamped interior.
